Hey, soul sister

Guten Abend! :)
September is nearly over, normally it's one of my favorite months in the year, but this year it's too cold in Germany :(
I'll go to Venice in exactly one week. I'm very excited!

Today is saturday, my "new" favorite day of the week, because it is the only day I can chill.
And I can play as much guitar as I want.
Last week I tried to play "Gewinner" by Clueso, a wonderful German song, but difficult.
It takes more time, so I thought I could learn another song and today I began to learn "Hey, soul sister"
by Train.
Just a cute song :)
Btw I learned "Wonderwall" by Oasis two weeks ago and I'm really proud :P
I'm so in love with my guitar ♥

Special day and favorite books.

Today was a special day, because I met a person, who I haven't seen for six years.
It's normally a very close person, but "he" was a stranger for me.
I feel weird. Touched. I don't know. I don't want to talk much. Just write, write, write, write something down...
Maybe about books, because that person gave me a book as a present.
It's not a special book, but the first book he gave me 2003 is really special. It accompanied my life.
You should know it, its name is "The little prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

It's an amazing book. Here's my favorite quote (in French of course) :)

« On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux. »

What's your favorite book and why?
The little prince and Dorian Gray are my favorites. The little prince because it means something for me as a subject and because my favorite cousin read it out loud for me about thousand times, when I was a child.
And the story is amazing as I said. Very poetic and it tells us everything about important things in our lives.
And you know what I think about Dorian Gray, don't you? ;)

I'm reading "The perfume" by Patrick Süskind at the moment.

Lord Henry is a genius.

I finally bought The picture of Dorian Gray in English.
Everything that Lord Henry says is worth to learn.

"What of Art?" she asked.
"It's a malady."

"Love?"
"An illusion."
"Religion?"
"The fashionable substitute for Belief."
"You are a sceptic."
"Never! Scepticism is the beginning of Faith."
"What are you?"
"To define is to limit."

I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now.

Oasis - Wonderwall
I think it's a wonderful song. Many people say, it's THE perfect rock song ever.
Well, to me it's not the perfect song ever (mine is "I miss you" by Blink) but I guess that nobody would disagree that this song is amazing. I often read about this song, things like "I will marry the guy who'll play Wonderwall on a guitar for me" and I just rolled my eyes, because it's a little bit ridiculous.
That song isn't Mainstream, it's not a negative thing. It's a song which touches you.
It's not a song for little teen girlies who know nothing about music and real feelings.

So here is the song. A song for thoughtful people by wonderful Oasis. The video is also very lovely.

By the way: Did you find your "wonderwall"?
To me it's my favorite cousin who lives in Italy. I always feel really happy when she's by my side :)

Dorian Gray is perfect.

G'day,
today is the 2nd september and I'll go to Venice in exactly one month. I can't wait!
I'm reading "The picture of Dorian Gray" at the moment and I think that this book is perfect.
Dorian Gray is perfect, Oscar Wilde's way of writing is perfect, the ambiance of the book is perfect.
I read one side of the book about Venice and I wanted to share it with you - in German.
(Sorry)

(by Oscar Wilde)

I'm thinking a lot about the character of Dorian Gray, the secret of his mind.
I guess there are many persons who'd say that his character is horrible or dislikable.
I fell in love with Dorian Gray from the very first moment I read about him in the book.
I'm so charmed by this beautiful man that I can imagine to call my son Dorian.
I'll see the play (theater) at the 15th september together with my class and I'm pretty sure that I'll be a bit...disappointed. I haven't seen the movie yet, but when I saw that Ben Barnes will play Dorian Gray I was glad. To me - the aspect of Ben Barnes is perfect for Dorian Gray.
A man who plays Dorian Gray has to be perfect.
Perfect is the perfect word.

I'll also order the book in English soon.
